LMAO! I was just walking along chewing my cud and admiring the butt on the doe in front of me when WHAM!!!! Lightning came down and knocked us all on our asses. I tried to get up and help, but all I could smell was barbecue venison.

A lightening strike, from everything I've ever seen, is very localized. A strike area big enough to kill that many reindeer in one hit? I call BS.

Except that once lightning has struck it does go straight down into the ground, it travels at its surface.
