I raced 70.3 Calgary using the Orca aero shoe covers. To me, any aero advantage is totally worth it, although I question how much of a difference they actually make. It only takes me maybe 5 seconds to put them on each shoe, so there really isn't much of a disadvantage over a long course race. Is anyone else using them, or a similar product? What are your thoughts?

am thinking about them for the long course, but haven't tried any. there are some pretty cheap ones out there, and the areo bang for buck seems very high. i also have chilly feet, so for longer days the rain/wind protection feels like a bonus.

This is the primary reason I came to test my Giro SLX in the wind tunnel. Why bother with covers if you can get a shoe that is fast...

The only thing about shoe covers is that they can increase the area of the shoe and cause you drag. I wouldn't use them without testing.
