Miss Match
Here's the big question I have. How much should I care about matching components?

I'm currently using full mechanical Ultegra, and I want to switch over to Sram Etap. If I switch everything except for my crank, will my bike look stupid?

Same question for wheels. I want to add a full disc wheel to my setup, but the brand of wheels I use doesn't make a disc. Once again my bike will have miss matching parts.

Thoughts???

It doesn't matter - unit it does!

In this case, I'd buy a wheel cover. Add a color coordinating decal. Done.

How much do you care about matching components? Who cares what anyone here thinks. You'll be judged no matter what you do.

If you're into the looks, match the hell out of it and don't look back. If you're into the results, work on that engine of yours and don't worry about matching. No one will care what your bike looks like if they can't catch you.

Drive for show, put for dough.
