A good friend of mine works at Butchart Gardens and he said that first of all, the staff are hired (and kept on) for their ability to provide stellar customer service. This mentally deranged couple seemed to want to seek out conflict and create a stir to get more attention online. They were provided with a taxi at Butchart Garden's expense back into Victoria after declining to work with staff on how they may gain admission. As a result of the blog post, trolls have located staff email addresses and sent ridiculously hateful messages, one was along the lines of wishing cancer on them and their families. Seriously? Because people insist on violating the rules of a private property?

If only the outrage for such petty slights could be bottled up and channeled into making tangible changes to improve the world, rather than spread so much hateful vitriol.
