I plan to do the MIMTRI next year and was wondering if anyone can give recommendations on a good hotel to stay at that's close to the race site.

There aren't really any GOOD hotels close to the site, per say. The event takes place in Millington, which is just a few miles north of downtown Memphis. You'd be fine to just grab a downtown hotel and make the short (15min, tops) drive up to Millington. Good luck
