What say you, Mr. Lehner about the vote next Tuesday?

Ken and other Jersey types, what do you think about the Governor's race? I'm really on the fence between the rich guy and the richer guy.

And what is Corzine thinking, wanting to jump into the morass that is Trenton?

Corzine apparently wants to be in an executive position. That's always been the rub - Senate is a legislative body, but governors are chief executives.

That and the fact that being a member of the minority party in an era of extreme partisanship isn't all that appealing, considering.

But Trenton is no picnic, either. On the other hand, if NYC can be tamed, then perhaps NJ as well. On the other hand, NJ has the Sopranos.

Look at the list of Presidents, going backwards: Governor (2 terms), Governor (2), VP, Governor(2), Governor, unelected (Ford), criminal, VP, Senator. See a pattern? I'm not saying that's what Corzine has in mind, though.

The one thing about the filthy stinking rich guy is that he is beholden to no financial interest. That's not to say he's incorruptible, of course.

I honestly haven't paid much interest in the Gubernatorial race. I am, however, watching the local State Assembly race. Turns out a local town official is running; she won our local sprint triathlon this year. She's a bit weird (although I don't really know her), and has been described as a sort of triathlon groupie. Funny to see her all dressed up in campaign adverts. http://oscanlonforassembly.com/...beckandoscanlon.html

that's the answer that I keep getting from people. Corzine really thinks he's got a shot at the White House? Yes, his richness (some might say wealth, but I'm feeling ignorant this morning) insulates him a bit, but I'm not real happy with all the crooks from North Jersey (I like the crooks in South Jersey, they don't have as much clout, statewide). OTH, Doug got his money from govt. contracts!

about the pics, remind me never to run for office while you're around. At least she's in shape.
