Before laughing too hard, the UK dude who averaged 30MPH for 100 miles wore some kind of aero tape, I think. On his legs in this photo.

Yup, those guys are ahead of the pack in terms of use of aero. Apparently those strips are quite big overseas!

Trips aren't new, UK guys get away with them because they don't have to deal with UCI (neither do triathletes although they would probably come off your bare leg... Nopinz makes Trip Socks you could wear though.)
