Muskoka 70.3 accommodations
I left this close to the last minute....now it seems very difficult to find any hotel accommodations for the weekend of the Muskoka 70.3 (Race is on July 10th).

Any hints or tips on finding a place to stay? I'm on a wait-list for Deerhurst but they said all of the reservations for that weekend are non-refundable so doubtful anyone will cancel.

The closest hotels seem to be in Parry Sound or Barrie which is a little further than i'd like.

Thanks!

Won't be cheap but there will be a few options in Huntsville still, all would require Friday and Saturday night most likely. Holiday Inn Express or Best Western Plus, both 5 minutes from the shuttle area.

Both sold out per internet. Even hotels in Bracebridge and Gravenhurst are sold out...busy summer weekend i guess.

I have availability coming up for the Holiday Inn Express. $254 CAD a night for the 8th to the 10th. Says two rooms left.

I have a 3 bedroom condo at the resort with a team mate. It is for Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights. It is $720ish (cad$) for the three nights.

Another one of my team mates was supposed to take the third room (still will if we can't fill it).

The room has its own ensuite and shared use of living room and kitchen.

If anyone is interested feel free to shoot me a PM, or an email to smoore@hmps-labels.com (probably better).

I stayed at the Knights Inn in Bracebridge when I did the race in 2013. It's around 30 minutes south of the race site. Far from the best place I've stayed at, but got the job done. Looks like they have availability on race weekend.
