Maybe because he realized that starting a second war in Iraq was incredibly stupid and that criticism of that act was on the mark???

Maybe he realized that cutting taxes while starting two wars did harm to our long term economy?

Maybe he realized that a lot of good people are dead with little to show for it because of his ill advised war in Iraq?

But Bush2 didn't have any experience in business or government before becoming President, oh wait...

Ok. So why did he keep his mouth shut for so many years?

And why is Obama opening his right now?

Its called politics. When you are leaving office and your approval rating is below 30%, you keep your mouth shut for the sake of your party. When you enter office and you start a giant war that you are keeping your finger's crossed that they will work out, you don't bring up the previous president's policies when he ran on a record of peace and prosperity.

Quote:
No CEO gets to blame the last guy for more than a few months and even that is usually deemed as a weak move.

CEO's aren't politicians who are trying to drum up support for their own party while discrediting the previous party.

This is the problem with you dittoheads. You actually honestly think that half of the politicians are decent human beings always acting in good conscience. You need to get your heads out of your asses and stop being so easily manipulated.

So you think "blaming" is the equivalent of "leading"?

Do you think Obama didn't know the state of the economy BEFORE telling everyone he would fix it? Do you think Obama didn't know about Iraq BEFORE telling everyone he would fix it?

You can't have it both ways, either you say you can fix it and you take actions to get the job done or you get out of the way and let a real leader do the job.

Obama is a week leader and this is a poor trait of a weak leader. Obama was predictable (and weak) on the Iran deal which is why we gave everything and received nothing of substance.

GW has his flaws but at least he did not publicly blame everyone else for his blunders. He stood up proudly and stated it was 100% on him... and he was a cheerleader for gods sake. Obama can't even measure up to a cheerleader.

Deliberately being obtuse?

No, are you? He said that Obama's problem (note the present tense) is that he's never actually done anything in the real world. I pointed out that he's been president for the last 7 1/2 years.

Both of you need to stop with the, "he was inexperienced before he was experienced," argument because it is completely irrelevant in the present tense.

Quote:
One of the main criticisms of Obama when he was running in '08 was that he hadn't 'managed' anything in his life. CEO of the country, without executive experience. What Goobdog is saying is that Obama hadn't been a governor, hadn't been a CEO, hadn't 'managed' people and budgets the way most presidential candidates generally have. It's a basic, factual criticism that pretty much everyone accepted, and the majority decided that his strengths outweighed that lack of experience. Which is fine...but not accepting that reality is just pigheadedness.

So you're saying that his lack of business experience has been overcome by 7 grueling years of spending money with no accountability? Of residing over the worst recovery in modern times? Of driving the employment participation rate down to a 4 year low? Of maintaining an anemic growth rate regardless of the 9 trillion of new debt plus an untold number of trillions now held by the Federal reserve?

That experience?

Well heck, I'm sure there isn't a fortune 50 conglomerate anywhere that can't wait to hire Obama to steer the ship as captain with that resume of proven experience. Unless Hilary wins, then they will all want him on their board of directors and be happy to spend a fortune on Bill Clinton / Chelsea "speaking fees".

And along that same line... why do you think Trump has no foreign policy experience when he already has a global operation he's personally responsible?

Building a hotel or casino is a foreign country isn't really foreign policy experience...
