I wonder what the hold up is? Seems cruel to keep these athletes hanging.

I think it must be an appeal..
Judging by social media posts.. I think it's a safe bet that Kirsten was named to the team over Paula. Kirsten seems to still be triathlon training while Paula seems to have moved on. So I have a feeling it might be the male athlete that was the odd man out that is appealing

Finally!
Curious to know what took so long.
Glad Sweetland and Yorke are getting a chance (Jones and Findlay had theirs).

Appeals process.
TriCan didn't want to announce until those were settled.

Sweetland gets another shot at a parasite in the shitty (literally) Rio water.

I don't know, Sweetland seems very accident prone. Beyond all her injuries/illnesses she seems to be prone to being at the wrong place at the wrong time, crashes, random injuries etc. To me it is a toss up Findlay/Sweetland as to which one will start.

I'm curious as to who made the appeals, but I reckon those details won't be made public.
I would infer that it would be Kyle Jones and Paula Findlay, but perhaps one of those named could have been selected as a result of an appeal too?

F-d her up pretty good for years.
Parasites and bacteria are a serious problem for ITU racers who must swim in some water that I personally would never go near.
Yeah, she's had a bunch of other issues... stress fractures and stuff. I can only speculate why...
As for Findlay, an enormous talent, but I've heard she is (was?) prone to over training.

Findlay is still young....she can be back for another 4 year run.
