I think you CAN fit a 50T outer ring , but the minimum possible inner ring is a 38.

Are your talking about 130mm crank arm length? or 130mm BCD? a 130mm BCD is a standard crank. 110 BCD is a compact. 130mm on a double crank limits you to 38T small ring. No limit to maximum size except the range limits of the front derailleur of about a 16T.

really short crank may possibly result is diminishing returns in muscle utilization and overemphasis on smaller supporting muscles that fatigue quicker. You also may have very high linear force requiring create core stability since the shorter the crank, the less you able to leverage you body weight for force generation... unless you keep increasing RPM, which then gets you into some fairly rapid muscle firing rate issues on longer distances.

Assuming you are referring to the 130bcd and not crank arm length. The disadvantage is not being able to run a smaller inner chain ring. If you go with the 110 you can run 50/34, 52/36 or 53/39 chain rings. It is much more versatile.

130BCD Standard cranks are what real men run. Real men wouldn't consider going anything less than a 53.

Yes. You can't fit a Powertap C1 on a 130 BCD crank.

This is the real issue. No 34 or 36 small ring for long climbs.
