Since you're the resident shoe nerd, what is your suggestion for everyday business casual (jeans/chinos+buttondown)?

Hmm, first time I've actually thought about the shoes I own:

- one pair dress shoes for work
- one pair loafers/boat shoes for casual wear
- one pair Columbia hiking shoes for everyday wear late fall through early spring
- one current pair of running shoes, at least five pairs of old beat-up ones that I consider old friends and wear as sneakers from spring through early fall
- one pair LL Bean boots for winter use
- one pair Timberland boots for yard work
- one pair crocs
- one pair hockey skates, they get worn about 3-4 times per week during season where I coach my daughters team plus have my own games, once a week now that her season is done
- one pair slippers

PS I love a good shoe game on a man. Doesn't have to be fancy, but a bit of variety is nice.

My estimation off the top of my head (3-tiered shoe rack) ---
Running - 2
Bike/tri - 3
Flip flop - 5
Dress sandal - 5ish
Dress heel/pump/wedge - 10? 15? A lot.
Boot/booty - 6
Flat - 5
Sperry - 1

Edit: Hiking 1 (worn once), slippers 2

I'll say you have a problem you don't have any cycling shoes.

Depends on the work environment. I favor AE Leeds in shell as they are indestructible & last forever. Ditto AE or Alden Chukkas. But really, anything that isn't Rockport or has a square toe will probably do.
