Always with the fireman. I respond on calls along with the fire department, kids are like "are you a fireman?"
"No, I'm a paramedic"

After watching the TV show "Emergency" I wanted to be a paramedic. I had a fireman hat, but a paramedics bag so no one would mistake me for a fireman (I was about 3 or 4).
When my Mom was in the hopital about to deliver my younger brother, I went in with my stethoscope to do my own exam. One of the doctors or nurses said something like "oh how cute, are you a doctor?'" to which I looked up with contempt and spat out "No, I'm a paraMEDic!" Fricking idiots.

Sorry dude but the big red trucks and cool gear wins. Paramedics are true American heros and I can never think you guys enough but like slowtwitch proves daily, it's all about the toys.
