Typically this takes a shot at the long established 1/2 IM distance Gulf Coast event a week or two earlier. Still, I will probably do this race since Pensacola is way too far away from South Florida and it really fills a gap in the schedule after St. Anthony's at the end of April.

Looks like they are counting the Swim-Bike transistion (1.1 miles) as part of the run (12 miles). Ever hear of that?? Paul Huddle joked at IM Wisconsin that the Swim-Bike transistion should count toward the marathon during the pre-race meeting but looks like this race is serious.
