white blood cells in urine sample

As the old saying goes, "I was feeling pretty good until I saw the doctor" After almost 3 decades of competing in endurance sports, I have prided myself for retaining both fitness and health other than some running injuries and a few bike crashes. Recently, I made my first trip to the doc in several years and they ran a series of tests for almost anything that could possibly be wrong at my age (63). The results for the urine test came back with "white blood cells in urine with no infection found". I have not had the opportunity to discuss it with my doc as of yet. So, I did a google search and found that one of the causes (kidney.bladder issues most frequently mentioned) was "strenuous sports activities". If that is the potential cause, I would have to assume that several STers have had the same results. Yea? or Nay? If yea, what was the remedy? Or, did it just go away naturally?
