In July of this year I switched from a Trek 5200 to an '03 Felt S22...Was the switch because the Felt is more "Aero"?...Not a chance...I tried to set the Trek 5200 up to be a "Tri" or "TT" bike with the usual devices including a forward seatpost...Made for some very interesting handling situations...I love my Felt S22, but because I think the geometry really works for me....I did a very technical, hilly spint (15 Mile bike, 10th fastest bike split out of 200) Tri a couple of weekends ago, and I know that if I wasn't riding a bike than handled well in the aeobar position, my bike split would have been much slower due to fear of cornering while descending fast...Not because it's more areo than a standard round tubed frame.
