Suggestion to Race Directors

Last Sunda, at the awards ceremony for Cajunman Triathlon, there were about 10 people left when the over 60 years old received their awards. This is a fairly common situation because the athletes in the large age groups receive their awards and then pick up their families and friends and leave the venue. Since we, especially on this forum, tout the lifestyle of triathletes, wouldn't it be nice to recognize those who have continued this lifestyle for over two decades. People like Jimmy Fleming, Wayne McSheehy, Bob Alt, Hans Dieben, William Smith, and Don Ardell have been in this sport since its infancy and have continued to do and doing it very competively despite numerous life threatening injuries and illnesses. It would also be an idea if the RD would let people know when they did their first triathlon to promote the lifestyle to the one day licensed and beginner triathletes.
Cajunman, by the way, rotate their waves each year and the first wave was 50 and over men. Wow, was that fun.
