Who makes XS arm warmers?
I'm looking to get my wife arm warmers. She's 5'3" and 100 lbs. The smallest sized arm warmers from castelli, pearl Izumi, and hincapie all slide down. She has had some of them altered, but they still dont fit just right. Basic black is what she likes.

Thanks for any direction!

Until I started swimming, I had sticks for arms. I raced on the road and track and did not discover this crazy tri thing until I was sidelined for awhile after a pretty bad crash on the road.

Long story short, the only arm warmers that did not slide down my arms were the defeat arm warmers. The have lots of cool colors and basic black. The other nice thing - they wick well so you can wear them under a jersey and then as temps rise, you can peel them out from under the sleeves really easily! I've found other brands get soaked if I try to do this.

You could always get her one of the arm warmer shrugs if she has slippage issues. PI makes one that zips at the neck, or Terry makes a bolero style. No slippage issues with those.

TeamEstrogen.com should have lots of options in smaller sizes. Give them a call and they can advise.

This and Zobha makes them too. For a woman of my size, my arms are also quite small and have to hike up any smaller warmers to stay so I wear shrugs or long sleeve shirts.

Moeben makes sleeves in sizes so you should be able to find something that works. I have a couple pairs of varying weights and prints. They come with little pockets too.

Bonus points: Woman owned business who is an ultra runner. Super cool person and she produces great products.

If you find something that fits can you post it here. I'm around her size and have yet to find arm warmers that don't slide down. Thanks.

Have to chime in here. I have bird arms also. I have found the "make your own" arm warmers work best for myself and my gal pals.....Target brand knee socks. The cost is minimal at $2.00/pair and the color/pattern options are endless. Basically, you just cut off the toe and a small opening for a thumb and BANG-you have arm warmers! They never slide, are warmer and more comfy than other arm warmers, and now I can afford to have arm warmers to match all of my tri outfits. I have other arm warmers from Sugoi,Sheebeast,ect.....and now I only wear my Target socks:)

http://www.podiumcycling.com/ <-- their size XS arm warmer is apparently made for an 8" bicep, per their size chart.

cheers!

Hi - fairly new to the site but thought I'd through my two cents in since this has been a challenge for me too. Lululemon makes great arm warmers that run small and also have a grippy band on the interior that helps them stay in place. I also recently bought a pair of Sugoi arm warmers in extra small that stayed in place during an entire half marathon. Good luck!

hello, Can you try to customize some several pairs XS arm warmers? Just customize the items according to your sizes. I found so many websites can do the service.
My friends have customized their jersey from gear4cycling.com
Looks good, you can have a look

Thanks again for all the pointers. As I mentioned, the smallest arm warmer sizes in these companies- Pearl Izumi (thermal lite and thermal), Castelli, Hincapie, Sheila Moon Women's Specific XS arm warmers and Sugoi, all slide down. The Sugoi is the smallest of the bunch and then Castelli is the next smallest of the preceding bunch. Pearl Arm Warmers are HUGE on her. We ended up trying Voler (as they have her preferred basic black)- and we both have some clothing from them, and their tops seem to fit her well. This company mainly does (or historically did) custom clothing- which is quite nice, but they also have a store on their website for non-custom clothing. Their arm warmers came- and they fit perfectly! Before they did come, I called and spoke with one of their reps, and told them my arm warmer dilemma- I asked- just in case these didn't fit- would they alter them smaller (I said obviously for some charge- however, I have dealt with Voler before and they have fixed some of my 8 year older voler jerseys with broken zippers for free- including return shipping)- she said, they would, since it's quite easy to sew these. My wife has had lots of her kits altered locally, but a cycling company (which sews all their product in the U.S.A.)- would ultimately be able to 'custom' make her a pair that fit. Luckily, we didn't have to go that route, but I wanted to mention it.

They have free shipping through the end of the month (and offer free returns for a different size), but these are not cheap, at $37, but they are a nice weight- not super light, nor super heavy, but a nice medium weight thermal fleece arm warmer. They offer 4 solid colors currently. They also make UV Summer Coolers in 4 colors for anyone into those (and they appear to be sized the same).

Arm Warmer's are not gender specific on their site-

Thanks again.

Make them yourself/ get someone to sew them for you. Easier to make them fit from scratch than to alter them. Arm warmers are simple as pie, it's essentially a tapered tube with one seam and then you zigzag or coverstitch the end seams. Cut some grippy elastic or silicone to size for your wife's upper arms and you are done.

I wear the PI shrug http://i.imgur.com/D0hEh.jpg and LOVE it. The sleeves have little pockets inside that make it a mitten when it's super cold, but easy to pop back and push up as it gets warmer.

My ONLY prob with it was that I had my watch over the sleeve and couldn't have removed the shrug without taking off my watch. Good for cold, not good for cold-to-hot.

For sizing, I have a medium and it is a BIT tight on my out-of-shape 5'5" 140lb frame (though <3 the effects of tri training so far on toning my arms - better every day!)

Hope this helps!

Oiselle makes some great arm warmers: http://www.oiselle.com/...uterwear/arm-warmers I've seen a lot of thin, athletic female runners, including Lauren Fleshman, wear these. They carry some other really amazing, functional, and stylish running apparel besides arm warmers. Check them out!
