An endurance relay for the offseason

Wanted to share some info on the Dixie200 Relay Endurance Run, as I am thinking about getting a team together for this one. It is a laid-back but well-organized event on a beautiful course, 200 miles from Atlanta to Birmingham using the former "rails to trails" Silver Comet and Chief Ladiga trail systems to take us through scenic rolling hills. For any of you who are familiar with it, the finish line will be at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama. Oak Mtn is basically a mountain biker's paradise and plays host to XTERRA events regularly. They also have 17-18 miles of nice bike lane roads for riding, and a lake for swimming (wetsuit definitely needed in late March).

Here are all the details about the Dixie200 run:
Date: March 22-23, 2013
Time: First teams leave on the Silver Comet Trail west of Atlanta at 6am on 3/22
Finish: Oak Mountain State Park, Pelham, AL around Noon on Saturday
Teams of 4-12 runners split 36 run segments
