bike seat?
I just got a new TT bike and hate the saddle. 30 miles today and I was shifting ass around bc it hurt! It's fine for the first 10... so I didn't realize it when I got fitted. Each ride seems more painful, probably bc I'm fixated on it now. I know Dan just did a few articles on saddles, but I learned about how they affect the male body parts in much detail, not ours that much. So - which ones do you gals like or prefer? Thanks!

it's a personal thing...

I LOVE my adamo. The lady bits don't get touched at all, everything is in front of the nose of the saddle. Took the sit bones some time to toughen up, but there's no pinching or chafing at all.

I would prefer my sit bones getting used to it than my lady parts - ouch... while I'm in bed. Thanks!

It took me a couple weeks to get the sit bones to where they didn't feel bruised and hurt to just get on the bike, and some people take about a month, but if you try it and it's only the sit bones that hurt (usually on the 2nd ride) then know that will eventually go away. It's just like when you rode for the first time, only can be more intense because it's a lot of pressure on such a small area. But for me it was a huge difference in how i rode. I haven't used chamois creme since except in HIM or longer races and that's just in case.

You can get a trial saddle from trisports.com for $25 (I think).

I ride with a Selle Italia Ladies Gel Flow and a good quality pair of knicks.

They have a 25$ demo. However, turns out my brother doesn't like his. It has the opposite effect on him, scrunches everything into the opening. Going to borrow his!
It's like everyone says, saddle is an individual liking. All I know is that that steel bar I'm sitting on is not working!
Thank you!

your brother is not sitting far enough forward on it. Just like for us girls, all the boys stuff should be in front of the saddle nose.

I was wondering if my position on the saddle was part of the issue. I'm taking the bike in today.

Bike was fit wrong, partially. Partly my fault bc I came straight from a road and didnt't quite understand. Moved the saddle back, tried the Adamo and like it.
All I know is I'm grabbing some ice after this.

Thank you guys for your help!
