So quasi-journalist/male prostitute Jeff Gannon/James Guckert was invited to a roundtable at the National Press Club today, televised on C-SPAN.
Apparently, he tried to defend Armstrong Williams by saying that the left-wing mainstream media wouldn't give "No Child Left Behind" a fair hearing, so Bush just had to pay somebody $250,000 to pretend to be an honest broker and endorse it, without of course disclosing it.
Oh, and he also said that he would hardly call Fox News conservative. Holy crap. I think even Roger Ailes would admit that, and he runs the damn place.
But of course, this has nothing to do with being a fake journalist, or being an operative in disguise, or getting into the White House under a false name. It's obviously about the left-wing press using somebody's private life to wage an ideological war. Gee, where have we seen that before?
