Career Objective
Establish a winning partnership to share my experience and knowledge in endurance sports coaching, event management and marketing. Open to part or full time opportunities. Able to work remotely or re-location also possible.
Qualifications
Writing: Five years experience in newspaper, online and magazine feature articles. Produced marketing literature for business and have set-up successful social media campaigns for non-profits and corporations using Twitter, Facebook and blogs.
Coaching: Ten years experience as a triathlon and running coach and twenty years as a competitive endurance athlete. USA Triathlon certified coach who leads weekly group workouts for Santa Cruz Endurance and trains individual athletes through TriCoachMartin. Designs, promotes and leads triathlon training camps. Offers swim stroke video analysis and technique correction.
Event Management and Marketing: Promotion of triathlon and running events using online event marketing and calendars. Race registration and results tool development and management. Course marshalling and volunteer co-ordination experience. Race committee member for Sunrise Rotary Firecracker 10K and Santa Cruz Triathlon for which I created the Club Championship competition to increase participation. Development of creative and effective sponsorship proposals.
Team/Club Formation: Co-founded a racing team Santa Cruz Endurance. Direct all aspects of the team including communication, sponsorship, recruitment, competition and training programs.
Internet and Desktop Publishing: Fluent in MS Office Suite, HTML, iMovie, and all major social networking platforms. Use of analytical tools such as advanced Excel and SQL reporting.
