Seriously, if you can afford it try a latex mattress. You can get them from internet-only stores that will take returns if you don't like it after like 90 days or something. Latex is a similar concept to memory foam but better in every way. Ours is not hot at all, and definitely the most comfortable mattress I have ever had.

We have been on a foam mattress for a while. Hot for sure, great in the winter, not so much in the summer.
We are looking for a new mattress too. Anyone try saatva ?

Personal preference. Wow, cant believe this post been that long ago. Anyway, got a Stearns and Fosters super Firm (NO pillowtop). If you like firm, I highly recommend. I would buy it again and again.
Also, you can always haggle with mattresses in case someone doesn't know that.
