Hard to describe but I try to roll the tire on with the heel of my hand cupping the tire... the thumb is actually over the tire with the fingers not pressing...

If you are trying to stretch it... you could just install it using a tire lever if it is really that hard.

I wouldn't try to stretch them. Get a pair of tire levers. Only cost a couple of bucks...and will make it alot easier.
