I remember Kerry talking about this option for Iraq. Seems like Dubya is more likely to go it alone. Anybody heard anything?

It's been said that support from NATO might occur or increase in other conflicts like Afghanistan in order to lessen the load for US and British troops in Iraq. Meaning if allies sent more assistance to Afghanistan than it frees up more for Iraq and allows rotation durations to decrease.
Bush has already tried and the Germans blocked it. Kerry could say anything he wanted bu there is no reason to believe he could have got it done.
