Bike ride and bikini wax question
Please go easy on me...this is an immensely stupid question.

I'm going on a ride tomorrow morning...probably be 2-2.5 hours. I wanted to get a bikini wax this weekend...the only time they have available is around 11ish after my ride. Is this stupid to plan after a ride? I'm just thinking I'll be sore from the saddle so this might not be the best time to get waxed in the same area. Should I just take some advil and suck it up?

You'll be a bit tender frm the ride but you should be fine...a bit of advil or tylenol works wonders...be sure to get out of your bike shorts & clean ASAP..it'll help to let the region breathe a bit....

It's better to go in the order you're doing it than the oppsite..just FYI

Follow up: 2 hour ride turned into 3 and I was rushing back to get to my appointment. As I entered the salon, I realized I forgot to take advil! I was terrified but it actually wasn't that bad, as sick as that sounds. I think I have a high tolerance for pain though. ;-)

You're tougher than me. I've had a bikini wax twice and have vowed to never ever do it again. The results were nice, but the pain was not worth it.

Ok, I am interested in the DIY option. Did a quick search of Parissa and found about 15 different boxes. Which one should I start with?

Yeah but do you do a full Brazilian yourself? I am thinking the "detail" work is something I'd rather someone else handle.

I'm with fefe on this one. DIY in this situation is kinda messed up. And if you find that it hurts less than the salon, you are going to a bad salon!

If you think you girl have it bad, try trimming up a nut sack.

Might I recommend not doing these things in the opposite order....I was a bit of an idiot this past weekend - did a long OW swim (a tad longer than anticipated) and was rushing to my appointment...waited a couple hours then went out for a long bike ride.

It was not only REALLY hot here this weekend, but the combo of the freashly "landscaped" area and a different pair of tri shorts with an ill-placed seam (who puts seams on tri shorts...really?) means that I am still in pain and healing a couple of spots 4 days later. The ride was a bit long but I don't think there would have been that much of a problem had it not been for the shorts. There isn't enough Assos in the world that could've helped.

Lesson learned!!!
