Help Wanted: Utility Locating Technician/Leak Detector
Quote | Reply
I run a small utility locating company in Honolulu. We do contract locating for 2 of the utility companies on Oahu, as well as private work for environmental and construction companies. We also do leak detection, use ground penetraing radar and use sewer cameras.

The company is closely associated with a plumbing company and sometimes you might be asked to do some plumbing work.

We are only hiring experienced locators. We will train in leak detection as long as you have decent analytical/logic skills. We will also train in GPR if necessary.

You will recieve a company vehicle, paid vacation, and medical benefits (with a chiropractor and acupuncture rider).

There is overtime on a regular basis if you want it (or sometimes if you don't). There is the possibility of on call work where you are paid a minimum of 2 hours at double time. There is outer island travel and the possibility to help expand the company to one of the other islands.

This is a technician position with no management responsibilities. Though the opportunity for that exists in the future.

You must be able to work alone and with out supervision.

Applicants with plumbing backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.

The costs of your relocation will be reimbursed for the right candidate who is successful in the first 6-12 months.

Pay starts at $20-$25 for the right person. A noncompete/nondisclose agreement is required. You will be drug tested and your driving record will be checked in the hiring process.
