Am looking to find a great pair of trishorts (not "short short" but more mid thigh length). Local running/bike stores in Victoria, BC don't have what I'm looking for so will probably need to order them via the internet. I need to get them within 2 weeks prior to leaving for Australia on Nov 14 (racing at IMWA on Dec 7th). Usually race in a one piece tri outfit, but have decided to now race with two separate pieces on to help avoid with the struggles experienced in the porta potties trying to unzip, pulldown/up and rezip. Probably lost a PB at IMC in August due to the time wasted in this way!!

Let me be the first of many who will respond to your post by recommending Desoto tri shorts.

My new favorites -- 2XU with the endurance pad. Very nice.

Thanks everyone! I have ordered a pair of DeSoto Forza through a website that had a 30% off sale. Hopefully they will arrive soon so that I can wear them at my upcoming race. I appreciate all the input.
