Thought I'd post an update. Since going off the pill I:
- have waaaaay more energy
- am sleeping much better at night
- am waaaay less cranky and crusty (was pissy most of the time)
- have lost 5lbs
- have seen some acne (that sucks)
- and my cycle seems to be 34days, and only 3 days long (yippee!)
So glad I did it. Wish I had done it sooner.

Just curious how long it took for you to have a period after stopping the pill? I somehow forgot to insert my nuvaring about 3 months ago and have not had a period yet (and I know I am not pregnant). I was never real regular before starting the pill but this waiting is driving me nuts.
If it's any help... after 3 kids I had a vasectomy 27 years ago. There've been no problems or complications. And the sex has been great probably because my wife was thrilled to be off the pill :)

Its not uncommon for athletes to not have regular periods... I went off the pill and ended up at an endocrinologist a while back... they ran some tests and found out I had PCOS.. They started me on some meds to get that all straightened out, which should have induced normal periods again (I'd go months and months without if I wasn't on the pill)... but the docs looked at my training schedule and said I wasn't going to be regular with the amount of exercise I do. So, just a thought... you could be missing just based on volume of training.
I'll second everything you said as what I am going through as well. I haven't gone on any meds though.

It took about 34 days. I am hoping that it gets longer ;-)
