Anyone have references for liberation theology?
I have always wanted to find out about Liberation Theology, but don't know where to start.

Anyone have a few good references? I've looked on line, but I seem to find more personal sites, and not so much published work.

Sadly, the best people to ask are the Jesuits.

Out of curiosity, why the interest?

From what I recall reading it looked like a morally-grounded humane approach to modernization (or whatever you want to call it) that at the same time held the powers-that-be accountable in South America. My first undergrad degree was in Southern African land reform and I never studied South American.

Plus, I really dig people of the cloth (of any religion) that get out of the pulpit and get their hands dirty with the rest of us and really practice what they preach where it counts. You know, not just talking about feeding the poor but helping the poor feed themselves.
