Orthodics for biking shoes
I'm sure this has been talked about before. Can anyone give me advice

on getting orthodics for my biking shoes...preferably here in LA? It has happened a few times, most painfully in my last half IM in Malaysia last year...a horrible cramping on the outside of my foot. Damn it hurt.

Where is the best place to go for this?

I've used Superfeet inserts in my bike shoes that has helped with the same pain you are talking about. They seem to offer the support my foot needs.

I have a EEE width foot and supinate quite bad. Couldn't ride more that 3 or 4 hours without getting the cramping on the outside of the foot.

I went to a podiatrist and got a second set of prescription orthodics for my cycling shoes (don’t want to have to transfer my existing pair to the running shoes during T2) and they work great. If the over the counter solution doesn't work for you look into the prescription option.

I like the superfeet insoles also. Be sure to get the gray color inserts for cycling shoes (see www.superfeet.com).
