1> The government doesn't have any money. The government has taxpayers. If nobody paid taxes half of the country would be speaking spanish and the other half would be speaking french canadian.
2> Taxes are the price I pay to live in this society. I like paved roads and fire fighters, there are a lot of things I don't like also.
3> The tax code is like four hundred metric butt tons of shit. Here my tax system. first 30,000 (some amount) no tax for everyone. the rest 10% (or some amount). Here your audit from the IRS:
"Sir did you make $10,000 taxable dollars last year?"
Yep
"Did you send us a $1000"
Sure enough
"Alright have a donut on your way out"
how much would that save in administrative overhead? Same thing for businesses. I read that during the 90's (huge boom era) only like 1% of companies paid any taxes at all.
