Yoga apparel
Hello and pardon my trespassing in the Womens forum. I was looking for a little guidance on yoga gear for my wife. I swear I tried to search first but all that came up was how was your week threads. So I am guessing I am asking in the correct place as some here must do yoga. Any websites or even better any recommendations on brands / products ? Looking for tops, shorts or pants.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome!

I've been doing yoga for a few months and I really like Calia by Carrie (Underwood). You can get it at Dick's Sporting Goods or at https://www.caliastudio.com/.

Athleta is also really good. And even some of the stuff at Target - they've upped their workout clothing game a lot recently.

But probably my favorite pants ever is https://www.vuoriclothing.com/...performance-jogger/#. Pricey, but if I never had to wear anything else, I'd be happy.

Lululemon and Athleta gear are the brands I see most worn at my local studio(yoga is pretty big where I live!)...I have a couple pairs of tights from both companies that I can use as running tights as well.
If you or your wife shops at Gap,Athleta is one of their brands so you can use Gap cash towards your purchases.
Lululemon sizes run really small...just FYI.go one size up!

Thank you both for the suggestions. I know she or I have gotten her something from Athleta and she has bought some workout clothes from target. I default to swimoutlet usually so the suggestions are much appreciated. I’ll check out the vouri website to

I am also fond of Lululemon and wear their products daily in my personal trainer occupation. However, when my personal budget is in play, I have a monthly habit of checking out Fabletics from Kate Hudson. Fashionable, but not quite as ridiculously expensive as Lululemon.

If it's a gift, spring for the Lululemon or Athleta. =) I buy myself a lot of C9 by Target, which is perfectly functional, but the other two are a special treat.

Agree, if you're looking to spring for a special gift, Lululemon is nice stuff. Just a note on sizing (and the customer service folks can probably help you in this regard), I find it fits a little smaller than usual street clothes.

I realise you might have already gotten something for your wife as your post is over a month old - but I wanted to make another suggestion as I have a lot of Lululemon gear but am not particularly happy with the fit or quality of the clothes, aside from the fact that it costs a golden bomb to buy anything from them... my opinion is none of their clothes is worth the full price cost.

Patagonia also makes great yoga gear. Not as many styles as Lululemon but I've got clothes from Patagonia that's lasted for years. The quality of their clothes has always been consistently excellent and I've been buying their stuff for over 20 years now. Fit is also very good too and I like the styles.

Unlike Lululemon and a lot of other sports brands, I love throwing $$ at Patagonia for above and many, many other reasons :)

Lululemon makes excellent gear. I've had a number of pieces for many years and they have held up very well. It is expensive and I have no idea how long current versions will last.

I've recently made the switch to wearing designer medical scrubs for yoga (I'm of intermediate skill) and exercise. There has been a huge upgrade in the quality and types of scrubs out there (i.e. see women's scrubs review) in recent years and they are fashionable, comfortable, highly durable and stretch well. You can get them through Amazon or only directly from the companies in some cases.

Athleta is another brand that looks promising but I have not given it a try. Does anyone have experience with that brand?
