Enlarged prostate

I have all the symptoms of an enlarged prostate. 56 year old male. Had a brief discussion about it with my doctor, he said no big deal. Do any over-the-counter medications work or is that all quackery?

I get annual physicals including a digital exam and PSA test so it's not cancer.

My doc says all these tests have a lot of inaccuracy and he's told me the same thing. My only symptoms are that it takes a bit longer to get the stream out first thing in the morning on a full bladder. . From what I've read they seem to support him, but what do you mean by "symptoms" in your case?

"Medications that treat erectile dysfunction may help alleviate BPH. The ED drugssildenafil (Viagra), vardenafil (Levitra), and tadalafil (Cialis) have all been shown to reduce BPH symptoms." Go for it....

Aren't you supposed to empty it at least 20 times per month?

The only thing that works is essentially grinding it out.
You will be reamed.
Oh, and then it will be back in 5-10.
As in my earlier thread, getting old sucks
