Being serious for a moment, I was once a substitute teacher for a time after I retired from the military. K-12. It was a lot of work, let me tell you. And I never witnessed a single thing that indicated to me that there were such things as teacher-sex predators out there. But do you think that some of these sexual predators (male and female) become substitute teachers for this reason alone? Judging by how frequently this is coming up in the media nowadays, it sure seems that way to me.
By the way, it's hard to get straight numbers about the rate of sexual predation among K-12 teachers (substitutes included) because school districts, teachers unions and government agencies aren't very forthcoming about it, but I read a few studies a couple years back that said such predation was higher among teachers than among Catholic priests, yet we blithely send children off to school every day without worrying about it.
Side note: I was freelancing a couple years ago as well, and a large Protestant church in the Southeast contracted with me to write a manual for churches looking to start either straight-up schools or Sunday schools. How to properly vet teachers, when to let new Sunday school teachers be alone with kids (answer, not for at least six months), etc. Some of the data I found and some of the people I interviewed provided some scary information when it came to this stuff.

Those guys probably didn't. I'm guessing someone from their Snapchat or other social circle ratted them out. Then, when confronted by cops with guns, they crumbled and ratted the teacher out who similarly ratted her own self out rather than dummy up, decline to make a statement and GET A LAWYER.

I think it's child molestation. However, teachers are in a position of power and these kids are minors. It's wrong and illegal. I think it's time the court system treats woman equally and gives them the same sentence a man would receive.
Edit: I meant to say I do not think it's child molestation.

This one popped up last June. Among the charges, the 27-year-old female teacher is accused of sodomizing the student, a male. Yeesh.

It’s so wrong and so illegal.
And so fucking good!
And, no. These women should not be treated the same as men who do the same.
Men and women are different.
The dynamic is different. The physiology is different and (we’ve been told) male brains and female brains are different.
A womens teacher having sex with high school boys is not at all the same crime as a male teacher having sex with high school students (male or female).

We had at the local school a 31 yr old female teacher that was bonking her grade 7 and 8 boy students and making porn films of it. One of the kids was the son of her principle. Totally weird, but there is an entire website devoted to female teachers who got busted getting it on with under age students. Athough you can't call it common, its shocking how many of these women have been busted.

That might be your opinion, but legally women have been fighting for equality for decades now and have been granted that status in most cases. If that is what they want, then legally it is illegal, biased and ethically wrong to treat women differently than men for the same crime.

I know the legal definition. I was just surprised to see it included in the charge sheet for this female teacher, is all. On second thought, this being Kentucky -- and the way it defines sodomy (any sexual act deemed to be "unnatural" or immoral -- including anal sex, oral sex and bestiality) -- it all makes sense. Thanks. Maybe it shows that jurisdictions are starting to treat these female teacher sex predators as seriously as they treat the males?

Ok then let’s extend that equality to divorce court, registration for the draft and behavior in the work place.
We have multiple threads going where it’s being argued that words spoken by a man to a woman is sexual harassment yet if those same words are spoken from a man to a man it’s compliments and high fives.
We don’t really want equal treatment.
We can (and do) treat men and women differently without relegating us to unequal status.

To me, a 23 year old woman banging guys at, or maybe a year or so away from their sexual peak isn't child molestation. Hell, when I was only a year older then these poor, helpless victims, I was hooking up with a 26 year old supervisor of mine.
She had a position of power over me at work. I need to somehow find the strength to come forward and tell my story :P.
Long Chile was a silly place.

My wife and I live and work together. We have some different “duties” that we each take of. For example she helps our son with math homework and I help him with jiu jitsu. I pick up more dead animals brought in by the cats and she picks up more dirty laundry. I lift heavy things, she plants plants. I do the dirty nasty field work for our business and she does the office work.
We do different things and treat each other differently based in part by our gender. This does not mean that one of us is of higher status in the household or in our company.
Equality doesn’t mean that everyone is treated the same.
Wrap your mind around that.

So she's 23, they are 17, other than her being a teacher I don't see the problem, also this article like most that involve a female teacher they don't say who went after who, lets see horny 17 year old male, hot 23 year old sub. Not hard to put 2 and 2 together, I laughed when a I read victims, yeah right.
