I'm always amazed at how desolate a major hub airport's terminal can look once all the planes leave at about the same time (it's called a "bank" of flights), and then how quickly all those gates can be filled right back up within about 30 minutes. And this goes on all day.
The first two pics taken today show 1.1 miles of terminal gates almost completely empty, with the exception of two lonely birds down at the south end. The next two pics, also taken today, show those gates about a half-hour later, filled with little birdies waiting to leave the nest once again. ;-)
