Tire height difference - 23mm and 25mm
Hi all, I have a Cube Streamer currently outfitted with the stock Fulcrum 7 wheels and 23mm tires. I have found a good deal on Fulcrum Quattro LGs which support 25mm tires. I am confident width won't be an issue but the rear tire is very close to the seat tube with the current 23mm tires. Do 25mm tires protrude further from the rim than 23mm ones? I was thinking of getting conti Gp4000s in 25mm to replace the same model in 23mm.

Thank you!

what do you mean when you say the wheels "support 25mm tires"?

Apologies, the rim width of the wheels is 23.2mm. The Fulcrum website says the minimum supported tire width is 25mm

I would just put the 25mm tires on the Fulcrum 7 wheelset.

Thanks for your reply. The question remains though, even switching tires on the same wheelset I'm worried that if the 25mm tires are "taller" than the 23mm tires then they will rub against the seat tube.

I need new tires anyway, the ones I have are worn out.

You may probably screws which you can adjust to move the wheels back further.

Yes 25 will be taller and there probably isn't a tire that is taller than the GP4000. I run 23s of similar width on my TT bike and I have to adjust the horizontal dropout screws all the way out to get a GP4000 to not rub. I would need longer adjuster screws to use a 25 GP4000

Sounds like you might have vertical dropouts now. If you really want to run the 25 the 4000 might not work.
