Tri-Cal will recommend that you leave your dogs at home, but they are always there. I’ve brought mine twice. One year was too hot for him and the next was fine. Also, there are feral pigs too watch out for at night. I’d recommend watch the weather and decide a day or two prior. That is if your dog has a calm demeanor and you have someone there to watch him/her while you are racing. Hope this helps.
PS. When I don’t bring my dog I board him at the local Humane Society. Good accomidations and reasonably priced.
I recall that you are not supposed to bring them, but some do.
I always had way too much on my mind preparing to race, racing and heeling from the race to want to bring and worry about my pup.
