Installing DFly EW111
My wife got a EW111 DFly for her birthday and I got the pleasure to get it installed except I have absolutely no idea how to get it installed. :)

No video online uses this DFly version as far as I can see and in the manual I can't see anything similar to the DI2 setup my wife's FELT has. It's an Ultegra DI2 with external battery. There's a cable from each shifter to a SM-EW90-B and then the middle cable from this 3-port box runs into the frame. On the back there's a cable coming out of the frame for the rear derailleur, another for the front derailleur and yet another for the battery.

Any guesses on where to install this?

Thanks, Paulo

You can install it inline anywhere, I think. I put mine inline, just before junction B box, which is hidden in the bottom bracket area.

In order to take advantage of it, though, you will need to be sure that you have the correct external battery HOLDER: BM-DN100.

Argh, great. I just tried it inline and it didn't work. Then I looked at my battery holder and it's an SM-BMR2. Is this just a matter of getting a new battery holder or then I will run into other dependencies?

I also just noticed that the wireless Dfly I got, the EW111, is not even listed in the compatibility chart you sent. This feels like I will be running into all sorts of issues. *sigh*

What battery do you use? It only works with the new Bluetooth one just FYI

Really? Even the battery is important? I have an SM-BTR1. Is this bluetooth enabled?

Nope! That battery doesn't have bluetooth.

OK, now I get it... I need a new battery holder. It says it here... I just didn't read it when I bought the connector (https://www.bike24.com/...23;menu=1000,4,167):

Attention: The new integrated BT-DN110 battery or the external battery mount (BM-DN100) is strictly required.

Guess I need to get the DM-DN100.

yeah, you either need the new internal battery, or if you have an external battery then you need the new battery holder. Those are the only dependencies. If you have the inline unit then you can install it anywhere. I bought a 150mm di2 wire and connected it at the bottom bracket between the downtube wire and the junction B unit
