Saw an article onTri247 about brit superstar Emma Pooley.
In it she talked about her new wheel sponsor GS Astuto who are introducing a new line of Carbon wheels in 650c
Yeah!
Personally love 650c wheels and for small women they make so much sense:-)

Now, if only we can keep the bike builders making a 650 frame option to put these wheels on ;-)

Unavailability of tires were always the bigger deal breaker with 650c wheels imo.

Where did you find latex 650 tubes? Also GP4000 are a good all around tire but much faster options are available for 700c wheels.

I'm 5'9 140 lbs and have been on 650's since 1999. My wife rides 650's also. We both have Zip race wheels, Hed disks. We race on veloflex record tubulars. I've never had a problem getting tires. New Frames are a different story.

Take a 700c latex tube and stuff it in. Same same.

Cut out a 5" section from 700c latex tube down and re-join it. The factories are doing the same for latex tubes inside VeloFlex and Vittoria 650c tubular tires. Use the section you just cut out to make patches for punctures.

I ran across this last night in case someone on 650's is interested:

https://www.ginkgo-veloteile.de/...-Inner-Tube-571.html

I've not ordered from them but it appears that they modify the tube themselves and then sell it

I know, I thought the same thing but I figured someone may be interested.

I just tuck the tube back in itself and I know others are uncomfortable with doing that.

Even at that price it's extremely "cheap" free speed compared to so many other alternatives such as wheels, frames.....................
