What is the rationale for this proposal? Same general area, presumably the same time frame, what does WTC get out of it by replacing one with the other?

So, who is signing up at 9? I am thinking of giving it a go since it would be no change to my schedule, and it is the first one.
Maybe it will snow the night before like IMLT? :)

Not this year, going to do the Auburn half up the hill instead. I'm likely in for the full in 2018 if they do end up moving it to May.

Auburn is a great race. Will see you there but I will do the Olympic, if I can recover

It didn't sell out in mintues this year. Still open @ 9:35. I'm waffling. Earlier in the year means I'll need to do more riding on the trainer due to lack of light, which I'm not crazy about. Also have to devote more hours to training during ski season, which I'm hoping will finally be a good one this year.

Me too. The new course looks fast and the weather in May is tons better than it is in July.

Next races on the schedule: none at the moment

Unfortunately, this may be the nail in the coffin for Wildflower. Can see a lot of NorCal peeps staying local and doing the new Vineman, while the SoCal folks have St. George as an attractive option (on the same weekend).

I thought of that also, but this May, I did a race that weekend where it rained tons and I was soaked on the bike.

Is that whole El Nino thing going to be gone for next year. Historically Speaking, the weather looks great for July 29th minus the last two years?

El Nino's already gone.

It could be anywhere from warm to hot for July 29th. I'd expect mid to upper 80s most years.
