I think what you mean is that the radius is large rather than small. Or, alternatively, the angle by wich you can turn your handlebars is small(er than usual).

if you can read this

Thanks for the feedback.....

I just picked it up yesterday and had it next to my Cervelo when I noticed the difference between the two....

I am not sure why BMC would limit the steering capability of the bike like this? Hopefully once I go for the first ride the issue will become a non-issue quickly......

If the weather permits, I am planning on the first ride Sunday morning.....

I am excited to have FINALLY received this bike -- I have been waiting for over 9 months -- the "Smalls" are really hard to find!

They do this to keep you from pinching the cables going into the brakes and coming from the stem on the TM01. On the TM02 I am not sure why.

I think it's because of the aerodynamics of the front
- the headtube, or rather the headtube cover (integrated into the fork), is rotating rather than fixed and the limiters are preventing it from banging against the junction of the downtube and the toptube.
- the gap between the front wheel/tire and the downtube is quite small - the limiters prevent the fork from banging into the downtube
On TM02 it's just the second factor

Great write ups!!! I hope I can contribute with some useful stuff

Brakes issue resolved :-)
Got the TM01 frame just a few days ago and while waiting for the Di2 6870 pieces I slowly started putting things together
The brakes indeed would not allow for installation of anything with a wider profile. It did not take much time to discover that these were the damn pad fastening bolts that limited the outward movement of the calipers - these things were just humongous (though about filing them or removing all together but having some time available I started poking around).

Option 1 - replacing the pad holders with spare SRAM RED ones almost did the trick but the Super-9 would have only about 1mm clearance with super old and thin pads. Super-9 is super stiff but the brakes would engage with the slightest touch of the brake levers - not good enough.
It's great to have n+1 bikes and a quick scan through them pointed me to the ULTIMATE option 2 as in the name - Avid Shorty Ultimate. Here the pads are not fastened by the bolts pointing towards the fork\seatstays (or chainstays as in the TM01 case) but rather in the perpendicular direction as in the pix below (they work with standard brake pads)

The ultimate clearance. I used only Shorty's holder casing and the rest of the original TM01 pieces. I am still using slightly used pads (Reynolds Cryo blue) and now all wide rims fit with no issue. Pixs below with new '14 Rold Prima Ares6 (27mm wide Delta Profile) front and with no front wheel

Cheers

Happy to say I'll soon be the owner of a new TM01! I'm 5'9" and I ordered a M-S. I ordered the new set of ENVE aero bars. Any advice for fitting?

Please get a new skin suit. If you can afford a $10K bike then afford the appropriate skin suit.

I haven't been on Slowtwitch in quite a long time. Much of which was because I got tired of all the Shiv and Speed Concept crap going around. When I saw this thread I got thoroughly excited so I thought I would contribute. Here is some bike porn of my personal lineup of bikes:

It's our club skin suit, same model since 2012.

Hello chaps.

I'm thinking about getting one of these, could someone answer a few questions for me?

I am looking at the medium-small model. As I am 6'1, but have very long legs and a short reach. The reach does seem ridiculously short looking at the geometry, does anyone have a picture of one? But I only want 430mm from BB to pads, so I was thinking this sounded about right.
How long is the stem on the medium small?

How long is the seatpost, I need about 750mm from BB to saddle rails.

Also, how much can you set the seat back by? I have an adamo and want about 12cm of setback from the BB to the tip of the adamo.

Thanks!

2013 version has BB30
BB center to rails with max extended seatpost is 31" (787mm); you will have no problems with seat clamp fastened in any of the 4 positions
The stem has 32 different positions and allows for reach variation of almost 65mm and stack variation of almost 80mm in size M-S (see chart below for specifics). I placed on mine Priofile Design Aeria bars and possibilities at front setup are huge!!!

man, look up the details of the frameset before asking these kind of question. But since I am writing already - yes, it does. The frameset comes with frame and fork, seatpost, stem modules, integrated front and rear brakes, and few bits and bolts :-)

I meant, does it come with the 'extended seatpost' as standard that you mentioned.
Don't have a go at me for asking questions like that. I cannot find on the BMC website the length of the seatpost and sometimes its just easier to ask people who have it.
I have always had to buy an extra long seatpost for each frame I have bought and I am fed up of paying another 100-200 for it when it should come standard.

31" mentioned earlier is achieved with the original seatpost extended to its maximum (highest) allowable position.
