I've never looked at a Stinger in the flesh, but I do have one of the latest Jet 9s, and I can say that it is VERY similar to a Zipp Firecrest 808, so if you know how similar the Firecrest and Stinger are, that might be some help.

Current Jet 4, 5, 6, and 9's are uni-carbon with the HED SCT shaping found in the Stingers. The same Jet 6 and 9 shapes that were used in the Tour de France TT win and Men's Worlds TT win. Ciao

I've got a 2011 stinger 9 and a 2011 Jet 90
Both have "SCT" in their marketing, and they are not the same shape. I'm lookin at em right now.

I saw TTbikefit's short presentation of the 2012 Jet 6 and 9 on YouTube and he said the 2012 version is clearly different from the 2011 version. It has a more blunt inner rim edge. Probably still not quite like the Stingers.

I think the Tour test was with the 2011 version. I wonder how the new version would fare.

HED needs a tech-savvy marketing manager to sort out their wheel upgrades :p

They can't be exactly the same shape since the Jets have the flat brake track, but yeah, with stingers and Jets maybe or maybe not changing shape every few months...who knows.
