I agree and disagree and see it bothe ways. When I race I don't realyl care about looking down at a watch for too much input. I merely need to know my HR and mile splits. Plus, I've been running with the Garmin GPS units and have gone from being told I am running a 7:00 mile to running a 12:00 mile b/c the watch lost contact with a satellite or two. Hopefully this 310 will have reception on par with the FRunner 205/305 and not the 405.
But, top each their own tons of phenomenal options out there.

This may not be solely satellite connection. Stopping your arm movement to look actually could be the cause of some of the shift. Averaging should knock this out but the forward motion of your wrist is always going to be either faster or slower than your run speed except when you stop arm movement to look.
But i look forward to actually seeing one of these in the flesh... I wonder if it will be backwards compatible with 305 cadence sensors...
