Felt IA1 - Zipp Super 9 clincher brake rub!
Hi guys,

I just installed my Super 9 clincher disc in my bike, ready for the weekend.
It's 2mm wider at the brake track, than the 404 & 808 previously in place.
I have the brakes set to maximum opening, and during set up it ran fine, problem appears to be the brake cover.
Once the is fitted, it seems it impedes the brake blocks fully returning, resulting in a slight rub on the left side.
Without having to resort to the Dremel, has anyone else encountered this and solved it?

Cheers, but trying to solve the problem through adjustment, before I set about trimming things down.
Is a good, relatively easy option, though ;)

I have the same setup, I had to adjust the alignment screws in the dropouts going from the 808 to the disc and also set my brake to max opening and have plenty of clearance. Sometimes the brake will hang just a little, I just give it a squeeze and let go of it so it pops open and no more issue. I do think the rear brake is a PITA sometimes, you'd think a bike of this price point would have something so minor squared away.

had the same problem, lingered for 10 months, went to thinner pads. My thought now: why the heck did I mess with adjustments for the last 10 months.
