Kootenay Sufferfest. anyone going?
Did the 100km MTB a couple of years ago, and apparently this is the final year they're doing it, so I better make sure I make it down there again this year. Anyone combine it with one of the trail running races the day before?

Now that I've got your attention, would you mind tossing me a vote?

I ran the 50km last year. A wonderful event with a laid back communtiy feel.

The course was both challenging and interesting. A good mix with plenty of climbing, a long descent in toward the finish, unsealed forestry roads, single track and plenty of "no trail" where you're following route flags across the terrain.

Be prepared for anything with the weather. We raced in a considerable amount of snow, both on the ground and falling during the race. Visability was compromised for much of the race (fog, rain, snow) but the occasional windows of clear weather offered spectacular views.

I would highly recommend the run.
