Clever Training has 20% off a single item, including trainers and power meters, if you join their VIP program for $5. DC Rainmaker's post has all the details. (If you need to join the VIP program, use the link in his post to pay $5. Directly on CT's site, it's $10).

https://www.dcrainmaker.com/...ers-fenix5-sale.html

Also, Brands Cycle has 20% off and free shipping with code "access20". Thanks to dcohen24 for that tip, saved me $300 on a trainer.

Yeah, seems hit or miss to me too. Playing around with it it worked on all the trainers I tried, and shoes; didn't work on trainer accessories, computers, clothing, tires, repair stands. Hard to tell without trying everything if it's whole categories excluded, or if it's certain brands.

And Moosejaw and Backcountry have matching offers of 20% off one full price item. Also use Ebates, a lot of the bigger sites have around 5% rebates.

There are some P5 for 50% off in the R&A Outlet. This year’s new releases don’t appear to be available for half price. They also have some older frames for almost 90% off. Makes me want to build a new fixie. https://www.racycles.com/outlet/triathlon

For those looking for a Silca Hiro Style Pump head I just pulled the trigger on one at Backcountry and my final price on it will be $70.80 for me.

20% coupon save me $20, I also used ActiveJunky for a referral link first and am getting another 10% off the checkout price (another $8 back) and topped it off with a cash back credit card (another 1.5% off the checkout price, $1.20).

Most people can get the it for $72 if you don't use a cash rewards card.

Also, Cycleops, Tacx & Elite Trainers also work with that 20% coupon (also remember to use ActiveJunky).
Tacx Flux for $650
Tacx Neo for $1152
Cycleops Mangus for $432

This is after all the savings. Doesn't work on Wahoo though but I think it works on Elite trianers (looks like they don't have Hammers anymore as they probably sold out).

That would exceed the margin and retailers would be losing money.

But from what i understand thhe industries support the black friday thru several different channels (own sites, retailers, etc ...) this is how the retailers can afford give huge discounts to move inventory and helps everyone achieve end year sales and financial targets.

Anne Hed was on Lance’s podcast a couple months ago and said the demand for the P5x was really high and they had a waiting list of sorts. If that is the case it wouldn’t make financial sense to drop the price, especially to a point where they’d lose money

Interesting idea I need to think of playing with, not really sure which frame is best for it. Looks like you could probably do one of those QR frames on their sale for that too.
Quote Reply
Re: Black Friday Deals Thread? [tyme] [ In reply to ]

Those QR framesets are a smokin' hot deal. The sizes are pretty limited, so you might be down to one or two options based on frame size. If you still have choices, go with the one that has the longest track ends (dropouts) and mounts the brake on the seatstays. This ain't no superbike. That said, you won't have to route derailleur cables, so it'll still look pretty clean. If you set it up as a beater/commuter with your race position, you'll be totally ready for Spring races.

I've been looking for a Kuat NV 2.0 bike for a while and could never justify MSRP at $629. Just found it today (2" hitch only) for $424.57 which is an amazing deal. Al's Sporting Goods has this priced at $471.75 + you can get 10% off with code "ALS10" (https://www.als.com/kuat/Search). Shipping is free and tax is limited to just a couple states where they have stores.

They only have the 2" hitch version, but if you have 1.25" hitch you buy a converter.

Hope this helps someone else out there too!

Princeton Watches (link below) has 20% off Garmin watches with code GARMIN20.

https://www.princetonwatches.com/products/010-01746-00

I checked and you can get the 935 for 20% off - that's $400! I'm sure that goes for all of the other models as well.

Nice find, as I believe these are often MAP priced.

FYI KUAT does not recommend the converters due to vibrations. I used one once and had clearance issues, but my car sits really low to begin with.

Got a good deal on a HED wheel @ bicycledoctorusa.com. They had good prices on Zipp 808/404 as well. Steve said he'd keep the sale going as long as he could.

Did they share any wheel pricing with you? I couldn't find anything on the website and didn't see anything on here. Potentially looking for an 11-speed wheelset. Thanks!

I had to call for pricing, but it was generally ~25% off MSRP on the ones I checked.
