Of course, I only added it to show that I wasn't lowballing the baseline ;).
I was able to touch the rim up through my mid-30s, but I was a good basketball player growing up and in high school and I played the game a bit during my Navy years, whenever I got the chance. I quit playing after my mid-30s because I didn't want to affect what I was doing in triathlon.
The only two times I tried in my 40s, during some pickup games with my cousins at family reunions I fell several inches short and I felt like I was flat-footed the entire time. I have no interest whatsoever these days in seeing how badly I'd suck at launching myself up at the rim. I'd embarrass myself badly, I suspect. ;-)
