Brexit: EU Withdrawal Bill Passes UK House of Commons
Quote | Reply
Looks like the UK is still serious about bolting the EU herd. ;-)

The withdrawal bill passed in the British House of Commons by a 326-290 vote, proving that once the British make up their minds about something they go for it with bulldog-like tenacity, making them, in effect "British bulldogs." Hey, these jokes just write themselves.

I know absolutely nothing about British parliamentary procedures and so can't say why Remain couldn't do something more vigorous to head off the ballot in the Commons.

Also, what's this stuff about the executive gaining the authority to unilaterally alter laws to smooth the divorce from the EU via something called "Henry VIII powers?" Sounds ominous to me. LOL!
