3T customer service? Won't respond
How are people's experience with 3T customer service? I bought a 3t vola ltd, and I
Am having my lbs place it on my
P2 and one of the parts on the extensions(part 15) has too big of threads for the bolt to fit on one of the sides. Both myself and the lbs have called and emailed 3T without any response over the last 2 weeks for a replacement part. Here is a photo of the part. I contacted pbk where I bought the handlebars from but they can't identify the part and can't do a replacement part. Thanks for the help

3t has terrible customer service. My lbs hates dealing without them because it takes a long time to receive a response and sometimes longer to address an issue. Good luck!

They have horrible CS. I've had issues with them too. No response... They lost my business forever. Going to be sticking to Profile Design or Zipp going forward.

You've to be persistent dealing with them. I needed one small part from them a long while ago. It took me a month and then some of negotiating with them. I finally found the piece I needed. It was given for free, but had to pay shipping from Italy.

Needed 3 long bolts for Brezza Limited ll. Emailed, called, emailed again & called. No phone answer, emails...finally a last call & they answered. This was over several weeks. They said they had no bolts. What bar manufacturing company doesn't have spare parts?

Finally the guy said he would have to break open a riser kit to get the bolts so I may as well just order a whole riser kit. I was willing to pay shipping for he bolts. It just sounded as if it was too much work for them.

I went to my LBS & they said they could order them but the cost was just crazy & doing the COOL Andy overly helpful thing, they told me to over to a place called Fastenall that deals in virtually any kind of screws. It was a 3 minute car trip from the bike shop. I ordered the exact size I needed & got 5 of them for about $7. The original one with the 3T bars had half of the screw smooth without threads but it doesn't really matter in the scheme of things.

What did this do? 1) Gained a sh*t ton of RESPECT for the boys down at the bike shop helping me save a lot by not getting the original 3T screws. I mean--they did take a little profit out of their own pockets that way, but gained profit because now I trust the LBS more 2) it also really showed who not to buy from in 3T in the future--total crap customer service

Granted they are in Italy & maybe they are a small company or have not experienced the high value of fast service US consumers demand. If they want to survive in the market then by my experience they need to step it up or step out of the business. I rate them 1 out of a possible 10 but only because they did finally pick the phone up.
